Harry Potter: Momentous Magic Moments

I am a Harry Potter film fan. I'm old enough to know better, but my inner child enjoys the company of my adult as we watch the special effects with the correct amount of awe and trepidation. We know that Harry is going to come through unscathed because there are three years of filming to go yet, they aren't going to kill him off, and if they do it won't be until the last film. And so cushioned by that fact, we are free to enjoy the thrills, spills and quirky characters.

After the film I analyse the contents. You may think that this is a negative exercise, but it is what I do, it doesn't spoil my enjoyment, and it gives my brain a tough work out.

At the time of writing this article, and influenced by the events of my past week, I have changed my mind about the state of childhood.

Watching Harry fighting evil with the help of the major magicians gathered around him caused me to feel some sorrow that so many children would be influenced by the idea that to survive in this world, you need magic.

My adult self knows full well that I have managed to reach this age without the aid of a broomstick and magic wand, but I also know that I didn't come through unharmed, and listening to my younger clients last week, they haven't come through unharmed either. They need some magic.

There was a smattering of abuse of every kind pouring from the hearts of these precious young people. Whether physical or verbal, abuse causes emotions that cause shorts in the energy highways of the body. Emotional blockages cause illness, phobias, poor academic performance, relationship and discipline issues, all of which I deal with using EFT Tapping, Affirmation and Mirror Work. How weird is that?

One method to address so many different issues goes against everything that science has taught us to believe. Of course, I do use different words for each specific problem, but then Harry's quite good at that, I manipulate the way of energy, well so does Harry, and continue tapping using more well chosen words as a reminder to concentrate on the problem, and I can hear you saying, "so does Harry." And as for repeating an Affirmation and using the mirror to re-program a troubled mind, that seems familiar too.

The result is, illness gone, phobias forgotten, poor academic performance but a bad memory, and greatly enhanced relations with parents, siblings, the world and the self. What is left is a confident child who knows their worth in the world, who knows the meaning of, "I am special because I am me."

Now I am thinking that Harry is right. To put right the wrongs of the world a little bit of magic used in conjunction with some special words comes in very handy when it looks as if Voldemart is coming to get you.

Now that's what I call magic!

How to unblock 'Writer's Block'

All writers seem to suffer blocks at inconvenient times. You need to sit down and blog, and you can't think of anything remotely interesting to write about. The pressure is on you, because you know that you must write content at least three times a week to keep your audience. Some people work well under pressure, but if you're one of those people who didn't do well in exams, and I'm one of them, you need a strategy. You might get inspiration from reading someone else's work, or you could go and put the kettle on, or you might decide that you're hungry and a sandwich beckons. All these strategies have been known to work, but now every writer can tap into the power of tapping. This is one part of the Emotional Freedom Techniques arsenal that I wouldn't be without. If you are new to tapping meridian points, then please go to my web site and download my free guide to 'Beginner's EFT' "http://www.keystoattainment.net" an easy read that guides you through the places that you need to tap on, and if you still aren't sure there is a video link that you can copy.

I use the Karate Chop point for my set-up statement:
"Even though I can't think of anything to write about now, I love and accept myself", do this three times.
As my reminder statement I use:
"Words won't come."
I tap...Top of the head, corner of eye, outside eye, under eye, under nose, chin and collar bone.
You will then find that something will just 'pop' into your head, and if you don't like what you write, do it again until you do.

Smart Writing

If, like me, you write articles, you have probably settled into a routine built around other (less important) tasks of the day. Some people write in the early hours of the morning, others late at night.

Whatever timeslot suits you best, just consider for a moment your appearance when you are writing, or waiting for inspiration. Yes, I know it's a strange request but I have a genuine reason for asking. I have discovered that if I sit down with my A4 pad, or at the computer, unwashed and unshaven and still in my pyjamas, I don't get the inspiration I need to write. (This must be the origin of 'Writer's Block').

However, if I do all these things and dress at least casual-smart, I feel different, look different, think different and usually the creative juices begin to flow. If I don't feel inclined to do this, I would use EFT to tap the resistance away.

This is not a coincidence but is all down to thought vibration and intent. Start with the intention of looking smart and the thought vibration will follow. Since you probably already have a degree of discipline in your writing, why not extend this powerful tool. Make a point of thinking smart. Smarten yourself up before sitting down at your desk or computer and your increased vibration will give you greater inspiration. The upward shift in vibration allows the creative juices to flow more freely and more ideas and themes will come to you.

Do try this at home. You'll be amazed

Dust to Dust

As I sat looking at the dust building up on the cabinet in front of me, I felt that this dirt wasn't vibrating at a very high rate, and here I was sitting in the middle of it. What was it doing to my vibrational level? Well, I didn't instantly feel the need to jump up and get a duster to get rid of it, and therefore I believe that it was actually bringing me down. I was entraining or becoming the same vibration as the dust. My thoughts then landed on that old saying that my grandmother was very fond of intoning again and again, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." Being around the age of ten years at the time and not believing that my grandmother looked anything like God, I took very little notice, or thought I hadn't, as her words were certainly echoing around my head now. But from a new understanding of 'God', and all the experiences that I've had with vibrational work, I know!! Although she's long dead, I can at last say, "Thanks Grandma", you were right, although you probably didn't understand why. Get rid of the dirt, and immediately your vibration feels lighter, and a good spring clean sets you up for weeks. So why haven't I jumped up to get a duster? It's that old thing head knowledge and heart knowledge again. So in the middle of writing I'm going to stop and tap using the EFT set up phrase: "Even though I don't want to dust this room, I love and accept myself." and the remembering words: "Dust this room." I can truthfully say that I felt a great relief, and I know that I will now be able to do it without thought of what else I might be doing that would be much more fun or lucrative.

The tale of the glum waiter

An interesting event occurred when my wife and I stopped at a restaurant recently. It started with the cappuccinos presented to us in dirty cups. When taken to task over this, the waiter, who was already looking suicidal, gave us the kind of look which said, "I'm going to top myself, but I don't mind taking a couple of passengers with me."

He said nothing but removed the offending cups and brought us fresh ones. We enjoyed our meals and later asked if we wanted anything for dessert. My wife, Carol, had an idea. She told the waiter that it was OK to smile. He said that he had nothing to smile about because his mother was dying of cancer and that he had a bad back and other health problems.

He looked tired and in dire need of rest but eventually forced a smile. We empathised with him, paid the bill and went on our way. It came to me that here was an ideal situation for distance healing.

When we got home I made a decision to send the waiter healing using EFT. This meant having to take on his identity and do the setting up and tapping down as though he was doing it himself. The process works on the basis of 'intent' and it is not necessary for the subject to believe in it or even know about it. There is no need either, to 'check up' on progress with this kind of healing. If you 'feel', under the assumed identity, that special glow and an upward surge in vibration, you can guarantee the subject has gained benefit from it. Always remember to switch back to your own identity afterwards. EFT often works when other methods fail.
