On the Breadline

"It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

(Matthew 4:4)
Fruit of the Earth

Here in the West it is hard to imagine life without bread. It is the fruit of the earth, the staple by which we measure physical sustenance, and the cornerstone of our very existence. It will always be here in its diverse forms. Well, maybe.

We often hear the phrase 'bread basket of the world', an indication of its importance in the world's economic machinery. Over millennia, we have called upon the pagan deities, offered sacrifices and invented a whole gamut of seasonal rituals to ensure a good harvest in the coming year. The annual Thanksgiving ceremonies are a testimony to the continuation of such rituals. Corn dollies and corn-sheaf bread are symbolic of the pagan infrastructure which still exists.

Body of Christ

Bread plays no minor part in the scriptures either, but has achieved dynamic status as a parable medium. Ravens brought bread to the prophet Elijah when he went into hiding. The miracle of the five loaves and two fishes feeding the five thousand is well documented and often quoted. And who has not learned of the importance of bread as a representation of the body of Christ at the Last Supper? This is one of the fundamental beliefs of the Catholic Church which maintains that the communion host is actually the body of Christ.

"...Take, eat; this is my body" ( Matthew 26:26 )

Leavened or Unleavened?

Leavening is the biblical word for yeast. Unleavened bread, therefore, contained no yeast and was somewhat flat, since it is the yeast which makes the bread rise. Leavening was also equated with sin and was to be avoided at all cost. Of course, this presupposes that you agree with the principle of sin. Hmm! Could be another article there.

St Anthony's Fire

If you've ever wondered how a belief begins life, this account might proffer a reasonable explanation. In the middle ages in Europe much of the bread was made from rye flour. But rye bread had a problem. It was prone to attack by a fungus called ergot. The result of prolonged consumption of the diseased bread was a painful burning sensation in the legs. It was known as St Anthony's Fire and those with the disease in its advanced stages would gradually watch their limbs turn black and gangrenous. Many sufferers in the early stages of the problem were advised, or felt the call, to travel far away from home to a shrine in order to be at peace with God and pray for forgiveness and a healing. Well, guess what? After a month or two they got better, which encouraged an even stronger faith in God. However, there was no one around at the time to tell them that by moving away from home, they moved away from the cause of the disease and simply lived on bread totally unaffected by the ergot.

My point is that here was a belief born of ignorance of the facts. You may be thinking - what does it matter how belief is arrived at or how faith is formed as long as it is there. If you are thinking along those lines, I would like to hear from you.

A Healing Gospel

Once upon a time there were healers in the land.

When someone, person or animal became ill, the healer would be asked to their bedside or shelter. Energy would be channelled, and sometimes the person or animal would regain their health, and sometimes they would die. Death was mourned, but carried no fear, because it was understood that the loved one would always be with the family in spirit.

Nothing remains the same, and healing began to evolve. No longer was the energy of the source considered enough. There came plant healers, religious healers and scientific healers, and out of these came the Doctor, and the most revered was the Doctor. He promised much, and sometimes the person or animal got well, and sometimes they died. Death was mourned, but by now carried great fear, because it was understood that the loved one had gone, and would never be seen or heard from again.

The Religious leaders in the land saw that this situation was harmful, and re-introduced a concept of heaven. If all the family were good and worshipped the right gods, then they would all meet again in heaven to have a family party. If the people refused to bow down to the right god, then they would be separated, with hell being their final reward. Full of fear, the people chose the right god.

The Religious leaders also put their weight behind the Doctors. They feared to allow the free energy given by the source to be used for healing, because they would be discovered as frauds, and would lose their power. They needed the people to do as they were told, and so they invented a Devil who could also heal. The people who used the energy from source were branded: witches, devil worshippers, charlatans, spiritualists and evil doers. Once more the people were afraid.

The power of Religion waxed strong and the Doctors grew stronger by sheltering in religions arms. They became demi-gods to the people, who shunned taking any responsibility for their own well-being. And although many people died from the powerful drugs administered by the Doctors, the people were so afraid that they accepted what was happening, and even thanked the Doctors for their efforts.

The Doctors started to draw attention to their inadequate treatments by killing many and even becoming the cause of disease within their hospitals, but by now most people were in thrall to the Doctors and so too fearful to find the old ways. Just a few began to think for themselves. The Religious leaders and the Doctors saw this and were very afraid, believing that they needed a strategy to maintain their power.

Their best weapon was fear, and fear could be generated by inventing more serious illness, which would then generate more fear, and so the cycle would continue.

More illness meant inventing more drugs with which to heal the people, but by now Doctors had stopped talking about healing and talked instead of managing disease, cure became a nasty word. The whole world of illness had become so great, giving employment to many and riches to some, so that politicians sought to syphon some power for themselves. Whole economies now depended on the people being ill.

As power begot power, more and more companies evolved to manage the the power of illness. The people were poisoned with chemical laden food and water, ensuring that the Doctors would never be without power and employment. The Religious people harking back to their roots thought to improve their congregations by offering healing prayer for the suffering, omitting to teach the healing from source that everyone has access to. Some people were healed by their prayer and many were not, but just enough were healed to spread the belief that they were doing good.

Out of all this came a few people who cried, "enough!"

"We know that healing can be channelled from the source, and we will use it," and so once more healers walked the earth, and the Religious men, the Doctors and the Politicians were very afraid. So afraid, that they changed their tactics and sought to annex the healers into their midst. This they did by using their old ally, fear. They sought to prove that without passing various tests and examinations, and so displaying letters after their names, the healers would be a danger to the people and needed to be shunned and avoided.

There were many healers who longed for the power that the Doctors, Religious and Politicians wealded, and were happy to write examinations and invent spurious tests to deter the natural healer from healing the people. They sought to demand money so that those who believe in fear can display attractive certificates upon their walls, declaring to the world that they are part of a huge healing monopoly, and to join and take a crumb of power will ensure their acceptance by the hegemony that is medicine.

All the powers of the land rejoiced, it seemed that when Princes of the land joined their ranks and spoke of certificates and examinations to enable the healers to enter the world of the hospital, their cup runneth over.

There once more came upon the land healers who know the real source of power, and those healers are spreading their truth, and once more the powerful are afraid.

Battery Hens Love Their Cells!

It is now official, hens are happy in battery farms.

Scientists have proven this by measuring the amount of corticosterone, a hormone produced in response to stress or fear, in eggs from free- range and caged hens. They found that the levels in both were very similar.

That's fine then, we can all stop concerning ourselves about the 19 million caged hens in Britain who account for 63 per cent of egg production, all of which is presumably consumed by a dis-interested public. I can believe that their are consumers who find it difficult to afford the more expensive free-range or barn egg, I do not believe that approximately 50 per cent of the public cannot afford the few extra pence that it takes to make a hen's life more bearable. There must be millions of people who don't see any advantage in eating a 'happy' egg.

I'm not going to examine the rights or wrongs of animal husbandry, the RSPCA have published adequate material which reiterates common sense. That battery cages are simply unacceptable because they don't satisfy the hen's basic behavioural and physical needs. I want to draw your attention to the quality of food that you put into your body, the quality of vibration.

Everything in the universe vibrates, and mammals vibrate on known vibrational scales measured in Hertz, this is information that can be substantiated by scientists, because it can be measured. Vibrations change under different conditions. When a mammal is under stress, for instance when cows are transported vast distances without fresh air or water, the vibration of fear spreads quickly through the herd. This spreading of vibration is called 'entrainment' and it happens with inanimate objects such as clocks, but more easily with mammals because their aura's interlock, and the lower vibrations, such as fear, are easier to catch. By the time the cow has been thoroughly traumatised by the smell of blood and the knowledge that it is to be ruthlessly slaughtered, the meat is considered fit for human consumption.

The same fear is contaminating our chickens and their eggs. A happy chicken will lay a happy egg, we consume that happy egg and take on those higher vibrations, those high vibrations will then entrain with our bodies to produce happier cells. Happier cells mean less disease.

I don't mean to convey the message that eating only free range products will keep you safe from all disease. There are many other ways that us humans can keep our vibrations high, and if you want to learn about them visit: http://www.wisehealer.co.uk where you can slowly build up your vibrations, just by reading the free books that you will find there.

First, Do No Harm

Last night on the 10 o'clock news the unemotional voice of a newsreader announced that, "There are now thought to be more autistic children in the U.K. than ever before, 1 in 58 children have been diagnosed with an illness on the wide spectrum of autism." And that was that, no further comment made. I haven't yet seen it picked up in other media for the scandal that it is. One child out of every fifty- eight in this country is unable to communicate, difficult to educate and requires special attention. It wouldn't be so bad if these children would receive special attention, such as one on one education and stimulating therapies, but they don't, parents have to fight tooth and nail for the smallest amount of help, and then it is woefully inadequate. This is one more example of inventing a disease, publicising it until all possible symptoms are detailed and the child is given a label, and there it sticks, ignored. I have even heard parents pleased that their child has been 'diagnosed', because they really believe that the authorities will now do something for their child. There must be a few disappointed, disillusioned parents struggling to cope up and down this country, now that their child has been labelled for life, and for what, for their child to underachieve and become more alienated than they would ever have been without the diagnosis.

It feels like there is a conspiracy happening around the British Public. The medical profession profess to have all the answers, advertise themselves as being experts at curing all sorts of in-curable diseases, which of course they are unable to do, but effectively stop anyone from using techniques that are seeing good results because they haven't been properly quantified, and of course they may not work. If their results proved to be better I would happily subscribe to their methods, if their drugs didn't have such horrible side effects, I would take their drugs, because in the end the human race is pragmatic, it collectively knows when something is good. This is a cry from the heart. The next generation is wasting away, at least take an open minded look at what is going on around you.

I cannot explain why, I only know that Emotional Freedom Techniques are working with these autistic children, that parents who will do anything to allow their children to live a better quality of life are seeing results. And what are we working with here: soft toys, tapping points sometimes nutrition and education. Parents are being taught techniques that don't cost huge sums of money, and the whole family is gaining a sense of well being. No form of medication is ever taken, and therefore nothing harmful can ever happen to the child, a working out of the first clause of the Hippocratic Oath taken by Doctor's to : First, do no harm. A clause that might stick in the throat's of Doctors who: and I quote, "I'm too busy to bother with weird protocols." even though they might work.

Paul Potts- Good Vibrations

Lying on my bed, weary from pounding the streets of London and flicking through the television programmes I stumbled on a talent show. I normally give these things a wide berth, but something about this stocky young man in a crumpled suit with a too short haircut made me pause, and I'm happy that I did. When he opened his mouth to sing, his face changed, he became beautiful, he shone, and I became transfixed.

Nessun Dorma has longed ceased to be one of my favourite operatic pieces, ever since it was done to death by football and constant exposure, but I was surprised to find tears rolling down my face. It wasn't the words, I don't speak Italian anyway, it was the soul of this Welsh man soaring into the realms of spirituality, we were blessed by the glimpse of a higher being, and I can't wait to hear him again because I want to experience the same feelings, and join with the vibration that raises my own vibration, I want to entrain with this man's soul. He probably doesn't know it but he has healing in his voice, and as such is very rare indeed.

Paul Potts has been challenged by illness and pulled through when many have laid down and died, and I admire him for that, but I suspect his enthusiasm for life was fuelled by the belief that he could bring pleasure to millions. That belief in the purpose of his life, that so many of us struggle to find, has proven to be his salvation, and perhaps ours if we are able to learn from his example.

We each have an inbuilt talent, many people have more than one, and many of us don't bother to use them because we don't believe in the healing properties of those talents. Talents allow us to create our own lives as we would choose to live them, we no longer live by reacting to the expectations of others, and because of this we vibrate on much higher frequencies.
Talent brings freedom!

Bent Spoon!

Look what I did, and I'm so pleased that I have. I watched Uri Geller do this many times when I was a child but my mother wouldn't let me try with her spoons! I probably couldn't have done it then anyway because it's all about channelling energy and he didn't explain that when he was doing his tricks. I also wondered if I could have done it with brute strength and so I chose a thick spoon that wouldn't bend for me. Perhaps a stronger person could have done it without running energy but I'm a small woman, with very small hands and only average muscle power, and I promise I couldn't bend it. However, just in case anyone thought that I could, I twisted it too. There is only a 30 second window, and you have to catch it then and do it, but oh what a feeling! I keep looking at it and telling myself, "I did that, and if I can do that I can do anything." Energy is energy, the same energy that did this can heal, something that has been second nature for many years now, but I've never actually been able to demonstrate that energy in such a physical way.

Of course I have to temper this enthusiasm with the knowledge that I was using Universal energy, and merely getting out of the way to allow the energy to pass through me, but this in itself is a valuable lesson. Look what happens when you get yourself out of the way!!

The tale of the glum waiter

An interesting event occurred when my wife and I stopped at a restaurant recently. It started with the cappuccinos presented to us in dirty cups. When taken to task over this, the waiter, who was already looking suicidal, gave us the kind of look which said, "I'm going to top myself, but I don't mind taking a couple of passengers with me."

He said nothing but removed the offending cups and brought us fresh ones. We enjoyed our meals and later asked if we wanted anything for dessert. My wife, Carol, had an idea. She told the waiter that it was OK to smile. He said that he had nothing to smile about because his mother was dying of cancer and that he had a bad back and other health problems.

He looked tired and in dire need of rest but eventually forced a smile. We empathised with him, paid the bill and went on our way. It came to me that here was an ideal situation for distance healing.

When we got home I made a decision to send the waiter healing using EFT. This meant having to take on his identity and do the setting up and tapping down as though he was doing it himself. The process works on the basis of 'intent' and it is not necessary for the subject to believe in it or even know about it. There is no need either, to 'check up' on progress with this kind of healing. If you 'feel', under the assumed identity, that special glow and an upward surge in vibration, you can guarantee the subject has gained benefit from it. Always remember to switch back to your own identity afterwards. EFT often works when other methods fail.
